§2 Invitation Positioning · top-down
Invitation

The largest in-person recruitment & career engagement event for international students in Australia.

International students bring ambition, global perspective and real capability to Australia’s campuses and future workforce. At the same time, many are still looking for clearer, more direct ways to understand employers, pathways and expectations in the Australian context. Organisations and support teams face the parallel challenge of engaging this talent pool meaningfully, at scale and in a setting that encourages practical, high-quality conversation.

ISCE 2026 has been developed in response. Co-hosted by SUPRA and UNSW PGC with support from ISRC, it is a trusted in-person platform where international students can explore opportunities, ask informed questions and build confidence about next steps, while employers, university teams, public sector bodies and community organisations can connect with international student talent in a focused and well-supported environment.

We warmly invite international students across Australia to attend, and we warmly invite employers, recruitment teams, government and public sector bodies, university career teams, professional associations, industry groups and support organisations to take part.

Why this expo exists

A direct, trusted, in-person platform for career engagement.

International students make a significant contribution to Australia's campuses, communities and future workforce. Yet many still face information gaps, limited local professional networks, unclear role requirements and uncertainty around application pathways.

For many organisations, reaching international students with the right skills, motivation and global outlook can also be difficult without a credible and well-structured point of connection.

ISCE 2026 has been developed in response — bringing both sides into one focused in-person setting.

§2 Why attend Value · text-led
Why attend

More than general advice. Direct, practical, in-person.

International students often need more than general career advice. They need direct conversations, clearer role expectations, practical pathway information and a better sense of how organisations engage international student talent.

ISCE 2026 brings those conversations into one in-person setting. You can meet different types of organisations, ask specific questions and compare opportunities more efficiently than scattered online research alone.

The goal is simple: leave with clearer information, stronger questions and a better sense of your next step.

DateThursday, 08 Oct 2026 Time11:00 am – 4:00 pm VenueSydney Town Hall, Sydney, NSW
Co-hosted by UNSW PGC × SUPRA Supported by ISRC
§2 Event summary Plain-language definition
What is ISCE 2026?

An in-person event for career connection.

The expo is designed to bring students, employers, recruitment teams, university career development teams, government and public institutions, professional associations, industry bodies and support organisations into the same room for clearer, more practical conversations.

It is not a general student social event. It is a structured career engagement platform focused on opportunity discovery, pathway understanding and face-to-face connection.

§3 Why ISCE exists Problem framing
Why this expo exists

Bridging information gaps.

International students contribute significantly to Australia's campuses, communities and future workforce. At the same time, many students still face information gaps, limited professional networks, unclear role expectations and uncertainty around how organisations engage international student talent.

Organisations can also find it difficult to reach this audience in a focused and credible way, especially when students are spread across institutions, disciplines and stages of career readiness.

ISCE 2026 responds to this gap by creating a national-scale, in-person point of connection where students and organisations can meet directly, ask practical questions and begin clearer career conversations.

§4 Who it is for Audience split
Who the expo is for

For two audiences.

For students

International students in Australia

Open to undergraduate students, coursework postgraduate students, research postgraduate students and graduates at different stages of career exploration, job preparation and active application.
